White Lake, near Gooderham.This is headwater lake in our watershed. The submerged stump field is typical of most of our lakes, which were dammed more than a century ago. Many of the higher elevation lakes are drawn down by more than a metre each autumn to help reduce the risk of spring flooding downstream.
